Lets talk digital and tech in the Deep End
We're hosting a Deep End Round Table in Cardiff on Weds December 3rd and we'd love to have you join us!
We know that digital and technology can feel like a lot sometimes – especially when you're juggling everything else in a busy Deep End practice. That's exactly why we're bringing everyone together to chat about what's actually working (and what isn't) when it comes to tech in our services. We will have colleagues from Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) there too.
We'll be exploring all sorts of things like:
This is a proper space to share what's frustrating you, swap ideas with others facing the same challenges, and help us all figure out how technology can actually make our lives easier rather than harder.
Come along, share your thoughts, and let's make sure tech works for the Deep End – not against it.
What's in it for you?
We're providing lunch, so you can focus on the conversation rather than worrying about what to eat. If you're from a Deep End practice in Wales, we can also reimburse your time – one GP and one other team member per practice can claim back their time (£375 for GPs and £150 for other staff). Of course, practices are welcome to send more people, they just won't be reimbursed. And if you're interested in health equity in primary care from elsewhere, we'd love to have you too – places are first come, first served.
How to get involved
Just email DeepEndWales@rcgp.org.uk to register and let us know you're coming.
Hope to see you there!

Funded Spaces
We are keen to reach all GP practices who serve the most disadvantaged communities and groups. So we welcome anyone working in any practice who aligns with our goals and values, who are welcome to join any of our events.
However, we have Welsh Government funding that is clearly for protected time for Deep End participants, and we will continue to offer this to those working in the original 90 Deep End practices, including those that have merged with other practices who may not have been Deep End. Anyone working in one of these practices will be eligible to claim reimbursement for their time and will be eligible to become members of the steering group.
Please see our Eligibility Criteria page for more details
